Lone Graves
Lone Graves, The Unknown

Lone Grave on Mash Place

A lone grave in the middle of a pasture. About 1 mile
north of HIll College, off CR 4282, isolated in trees on
a knoll in the middle of his pasture. You would need to contact
the owner for permission before going into the pasture.
I believe that the inscriptione reads:

James Arthur HAIRE
Born
York District
South Carolina
March 2, 1788
Died
April 25, 1861

Blessed
are the dead
which die in the lord
that they man rest
from their labors

The monument is about 5 or 6 feet tall, and has been
toppled and broken in the past. There is an iron fence
around the grave. There appears to be some kind of seal
inscribed on the monument also.
